The 33rd Young Theatre Festival, Korea’s largest university theatre festival—supported by premium bottled water brand Montbest as its official bottled water sponsor—successfully concluded on July 6.
Marking its 33rd edition this year, the festival ran for about a month from June 1 to July 6 at major theatres around Daehangno, Seoul. A total of 47 universities took part, presenting 57 productions. In addition to performances, a wide range of side programs were held, including a “Running Plogging” donation challenge, an audience troupe initiative, an academic seminar hosted by the Korean Association of University Theatre Department Professors, theatre workshops, and special lectures featuring working professionals—offering meaningful opportunities and hands-on experiences for the next generation of theatre practitioners.
Under its brand slogan “Dream Your Dreamz,” Montbest has continued to support and encourage individuals pursuing their dreams and challenges across culture, the arts, sports, and other fields. This year, Montbest participated in the Young Theatre Festival as the official bottled water sponsor, providing not only bottled water but also sparkling water and kombucha to support the dreams and ambitions of emerging artists preparing performances and bringing stages to life.
