The Suwon Samsung University Champions League 2022 (SUCL 2022), held by Suwon Samsung, a professional football team, ended successfully.

The SUCL 2022 held at Manseok Park's artificial turf stadium for two days from the 2nd to the 3rd of this month ended successfully with the victory of Sungkyunkwan University Escara. SUCL is a college student soccer competition in Suwon, hosted by Suwon Samsung's college student supporters FRONTIER and participated by college student amateur soccer club players.

The competition, which was held with financial support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO), attracted more than 350 players from 10 teams, and was joined by club sponsors Puma Korea, Megabox, Celcius, Montbest, 3RINK and SIDAS, as well as EK Futsal Park and Yubu.

In particular, this SUCL 2022 was based on the data (number of participations, performance) of the 6th tournament and gave the top six teams with high scores to form a match table. The 3rd and 4th place matches have been established to provide opportunities for participating teams that have unfortunately failed to advance to the finals to play more games.

Eskara from Sungkyunkwan University, the winner of the championship, won its second consecutive title following last year's championship. LINE from Yongin University won the runner-up prize and Ama Soccer from Kyung Hee University took the third place. "We will continue to pay attention and make efforts to expand the soccer base in our hometown and increase the population of amateur soccer," said Suwon Samsung.
